What we do with your information
Short page, because there isn't much to tell. We'd rather write this plainly than hide it in nine paragraphs of legal padding.
What we collect right now
Nothing. There is no sign-up form on this site, no account to create, and no comment section. There is also no analytics, no advertising pixel, and no tracking script of any kind — there is no JavaScript on this website at all.
Two things happen that are worth naming anyway, because they're true of almost every site and we'd rather say so:
Our host keeps server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which records requests — IP address, browser, the page asked for — for security and to keep the site up. We don't build profiles from those logs, and we don't have a dashboard of who visited.
The fonts load from Google. Lora and Poppins come from Google Fonts, so opening a page means your browser asks Google's servers for them, and Google sees your IP address in the process. Nothing else about you is sent. We're planning to host the fonts ourselves so that stops happening.
What we'll collect when the guide exists
We're finishing a free PDF — 36 Questions Before You Say “I Do”. When it's ready there'll be a form here asking for your email, and optionally your first name so a letter can start with it instead of “hello”.
That's the whole list. No date of birth, no phone number, no questions about your relationship. We'd use it for exactly two things: sending you the guide, and occasionally writing to you afterwards — never daily, and never a stream of promotions.
The email itself would live with the email provider we use to send it, the way it does for any newsletter. We'll name that provider here the day we pick one.
What we will never do
We won't sell your email address. We won't rent it, trade it, or hand it to an advertiser or a data broker. We won't add you to a list you didn't ask to be on, and we won't use it to follow you around the internet with ads.
If we ever change how any of this works, this page changes first.
Leaving the list
Every email we send will have an unsubscribe link, and one click will be enough — no survey, no “are you sure”, no login. You can also just email us and ask, and we'll take you off and confirm it.
If you'd like us to delete what we hold on you rather than only unsubscribe you, say so and we'll delete it.
The Amazon links
The bookshelf carries affiliate links. When those go live, clicking one takes you to Amazon, and from that point Amazon's own privacy terms apply — the cookie that credits us is theirs, set on their site. We never see who clicked, only whether something sold. Nothing on our side is collected when you click.
Children
This site is written for adults, and we don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
